Privacy Policy: Scheduled Export for Sheets
Last updated: 2026-11-04
This policy explains what the "Scheduled Export for Sheets" add-on (the "Add-on") does with your data. The Add-on is provided by FOP Ihor Aleksandrin ("we", "us"), contact: support@dobriedela.com. Website: https://dobriedela.com/
Short version: the Add-on runs inside your Google account. We do not have a server that receives your spreadsheet data, and we cannot see it. Your data is not sold, shared, used for advertising or used to train AI models. The only thing that leaves your spreadsheet is the e-mail with attachments that you configured the Add-on to send.
1. What the Add-on accesses
When you use the Add-on in a spreadsheet, it accesses, through Google's Apps Script services and only with the permissions you grant on Google's consent screen:
- The spreadsheet you opened it in (scope
spreadsheets.currentonly): the sheet names and named ranges, and the cell values of the sheets or range you chose to send (used to build CSV files). It also creates and writes a hidden sheet named_export_login that spreadsheet. - Your Google account's ability to send e-mail (scope
script.send_mail): to send the e-mails you configured, with the exported files attached, and to read how many recipients you can still e-mail today. The Add-on cannot read, search, delete or modify your mailbox. - An authenticated request to Google's own export service for this spreadsheet (scope
script.external_request): to download the PDF or XLSX version of this spreadsheet (a request tohttps://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/<this spreadsheet's id>/export, authorized with the Add-on's own OAuth token) so that it can be attached to your e-mail. The Add-on contacts no other web address. - Triggers (scope
script.scriptapp): to create and delete one hourly time-driven trigger so that scheduled e-mails are sent when the spreadsheet is closed. - The sidebar and menu (scope
script.container.ui): to show the Add-on's menu item and sidebar.
The Add-on does not access other files, your Drive, your contacts, your calendar, or your e-mail content, and it does not read your e-mail address from your Google profile. For a test e-mail you type the address yourself.
2. What the Add-on stores, and where
All of the following is stored inside your Google account, in Apps Script's property storage for this spreadsheet or for your user, or in your spreadsheet. We do not receive a copy.
| Data | Where | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Your schedules (names, chosen sheets or range, formats, PDF options, recipient addresses, subject and message templates, timing, the last sent hour) | Document properties of the spreadsheet | To run your schedules |
| Add-on settings (sender name, last check summary) | Document properties | To send and to show status |
| Monthly send counter and test-send counter | Document / user properties | To apply the plan limits |
| Send log: time, schedule name, recipient addresses, formats, file names, scheduled hour, status, error text | Hidden sheet _export_log in your spreadsheet | To show you what was sent, retried or skipped |
| The last test-send address you typed | User properties | Convenience |
| Your Pro license key | User properties | To keep Pro active |
The send log contains the e-mail addresses of the people you e-mail. It lives in your spreadsheet, so anyone who can edit that spreadsheet can unhide and read it. Keep the log sheet hidden: it is left out of CSV exports and of PDF exports of selected sheets, but a whole-spreadsheet XLSX contains every sheet of the file, hidden ones included, and a whole-spreadsheet PDF contains every visible sheet.
3. What is sent out, and to whom
- Scheduled e-mails are sent through Google's mail service from your Google account to the recipients you configured. The attachments contain the spreadsheet content you chose to send. Recipients see your account as the sender (or the sender name you set). You decide who receives what; the e-mails and attachments are then subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy and to whatever the recipients do with them.
- Nothing is sent to us or to any third party by the Add-on. It has no analytics or telemetry and shows no ads. The only network request it makes is the export request to Google described in section 1.
- License keys are verified offline inside the Add-on (a digital signature check). The key contains the product name, plan, expiry date and a short one-way hash of the e-mail address used for purchase, not the address itself. Purchases are handled on our website by a third-party payment provider; the Add-on never sees payment details.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy: Limited Use
The Add-on's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular: we use Google user data only to provide the scheduled export you configure; we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide that feature (the e-mails you ask the Add-on to send); we do not use it for serving ads; and no humans read it (we have no access to it).
5. Retention and deletion
- Data stays until you delete it. Delete a schedule in the sidebar to remove it. Delete the
_export_logsheet to remove the log (the Add-on recreates it empty when needed). - Removing the Add-on (Extensions > Add-ons > Manage add-ons) stops it. Schedules and settings stay stored with the spreadsheet in your account, so delete your schedules in the sidebar before uninstalling if you want them gone; deleting the spreadsheet removes them. Deleting or pausing all schedules removes the hourly trigger. You can revoke access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions .
- Because we hold no copy of your data, we cannot retrieve or delete it for you; you control it directly. E-mails already sent stay in the recipients' mailboxes and in your Sent folder.
6. Recipients' data and your responsibilities
You decide what data to send and to whom. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to share that data with those recipients (for example a contract, consent or legitimate interest), and for following the data-protection and confidentiality rules that apply to you (such as GDPR). Do not schedule exports that contain personal or confidential data to addresses that should not have it. For the contents of your spreadsheet you are the controller; we do not process it on our servers.
7. Security
Data is handled by Google's infrastructure under your account's protections. The Add-on's code does not send data anywhere else. Keep your Google account and spreadsheet sharing settings secure; an e-mail attachment leaves the protection of your spreadsheet's sharing settings once it is sent.
8. Children
The Add-on is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be published at https://dobriedela.com/legal/sheets-scheduled-export with a new "Last updated" date. Adding a new permission requires your fresh consent on Google's consent screen.
